Statement of Faith

Revival Acres Cottage School exists to come alongside families and equip them to flourish in bringing glory and honor to God, to deepen their wisdom and knowledge of God and His word, and to better understand the world He created. We desire to encourage families to cultivate their relationships with God and with each other and support their efforts to train up their children in the ways of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4b)

We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is central to a Charlotte Mason education. We are not affiliated with any specific church or denomination, but are unapologetic about our Christian worldview, and we will be using this worldview at the center of everything we do.

Revival Acres Cottage School motto

We believe that the Bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the very Word of God. As a “God-breathed” revelation, it is thus verbally inspired and completely without error (historically, scientifically, morally, and spiritually) in its original writings, and is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the only sufficient rule for faith and practice.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, co-equal and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, through whose ministry, on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ, people are regenerated and become members of the body of Christ.

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe.

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from works, and is possessed by all who have by faith received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.

We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment.

We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race.

Arielle is the honored wife of Caleb and mother to four beautiful children whom she has homeschooled from the beginning. She has a B.S. in Early Elementary Education as well as a B.S. in Biblical Studies with multiple years experience in curriculum research and development. Arielle’s goal in creating Revival Acres Cottage School was to fill a gap in her local community – resources, encouragement, and accessibility to any family who wishes to homeschool their child(ren). She hopes to help parents feel confident in their decision to homeschool and provide access to the beautiful feast of learning laid out within a Charlotte Mason inspired education. Together, we can revive your home and your heart!

Passionate about all things homeschooling- Andrea is a high-energy, happy wife to Matt and a mama to Lydia. Prior to her calling to stay home after her daughter’s birth, Andrea spent over a decade working with children and families in public and private settings. This work included directing programming and providing outpatient and inpatient therapy. These experiences have further convicted her that a full, spirit-filled life and education begins at home, and with Jesus. She currently has her Masters Degree in Social Work and has specialized in Adventure Therapy. She immediately answered Arielle’s plea for help with creating our Cottage school saying; “Being involved in Revival Acres Cottage School is an answer to one of my heart’s deepest prayers.”
